 How is the Friends organization structured?

· Officers and Committee Chairpersons are elected annually for a one-year term.

President (Presides at board meetings, represents the Friends with the public)

Vice President (Fundraising, web site administration)

Treasurer (Financial officer)

Secretary (Records minutes of Friends meetings)

Committees

Membership (Membership enrollment and renewals)

Book Sales (Organizes book sales)

Book Cart (Organizes book cart sales.)

Volunteers (Recruits and schedules volunteers.)

Wildlife Habitat (Helps maintain the outdoor habitat area.)

Hospitality (Coordinates hospitality functions)

Publicity (Newsletters, press releases, brochures)

• Annual Meeting:  Open to all members of the Friends.
  Election of officers and approval of annual budget. The Friends organization welcomes member participation and volunteerism. Board and Committee positions are open to all members.
  
• The Friends of the Library is a not-for-profit 501(c)3 organization.
